Upper Blue Mountains Camera Club
We are a small group of dedicated photographers with a wide range of skills.
The club has gone through several changes over the years progressing to our current format of monthly members’ exhibitions with 3 categories – Colour Print, Monochrome Print and Digital Projected Image (DPI). We also meet once a month to share knowledge and experience through presentations and workshops.
Our History in brief
The Upper Blue Mountains Camera Club has been operating for about 30 years. For a number of years meeting in Leura at a small church hall, then a room at Morven Gardens (Retirement Village). From 2015 we met at the Presbyterian Church in Falls Road, Wentworth Falls.
COVID 19 led us to move online with Zoom for a period of time. As of April 2022 we have been meeting back in person at Katoomba RSL club.
What we offer
We meet twice a month, providing:
- Short talks or presentations by members
- Guest speakers
- Mini-workshops, demonstrations
- Support in developing a personal project/portfolio
- Exhibition nights
- Photo critiques to help you grow.
The 1st Monday of the month is usually an exhibition night where members present their photographic works for appraisal by regular member judges or a visiting judge.
On our 3rd Monday of the month we have our information nights… where we focus on information and skills through presentations and workshops.
Please check our program for the year at What’s On or view our calendar for a quick overview of dates.
